I'm Azizi Marshall, a Chicago floral designer and the founder of Lifetime Bouquets. I create couture silk wedding bouquets that last a lifetime, and luxury silk floral installations for hotels, corporate offices, salons, spas, restaurants, and boutiques across Chicagoland.

WHAT TEN YEARS OF FLOWERS TAUGHT ME

I spent ten years as a floral designer in shops across Chicago and studied under several world-renowned floral designers. I designed and installed florals for Google, Oprah's studios, downtown Chicago restaurants, and countless weddings and corporate events.

That work taught me what flowers can't do: last.

I built bouquets that made brides cry happy tears, then watched them wilt before the thank-you cards were mailed. I designed stunning pieces for restaurants and corporate events that were gone within the week. All that work and meaning, thrown away. That never sat right with me.

THE BOUQUET THAT STARTED IT ALL

Then I got married. My father passed before he could walk me down the aisle, so I found a way to bring him anyway. I sewed a small image of him into my own couture silk bouquet, made by hand and built to last from the very first stem.

That bouquet still sits in my home, looking exactly as it did on my wedding day. It never browned, never dried out, and never ended up in a box in a closet.
